Suzanne is a senior recruiter with over 18 years’ experience as main board company Director operating mainly within the financial services sector with particular focus on asset management, asset servicing and wealth management recruitment. Suzanne has worked in recruitment since 1986 initially recruiting accountants before moving into recruitment within the investment industry in 1992. She was the first person to specialise in recruitment within the investment sector and set this up in 1992.

Suzanne began Zed Recruitment to service the requirements of clients within the asset management / servicing and wealth management sectors although this has led to undertaking assignments within other professional services sectors including several with a large public accountancy practice and a large Scottish law firm.

The space between executive search and contingency recruitment

Zed was set up to provide a recruitment service for senior appointments and occupies the space between “executive search firms” and the more general contingency search recruitment agencies. This means that clients can receive a service which is customised to their requirements and at the same time, does not carry the large cost of using a retained search firm.

Zed’s search fee can be contingency or retained or a mixture of both. We do not rely on the usual range of job boards or recruitment databases and instead conduct searches which are specific to the role with which we are dealing. Searches are conducted using social media such as LinkedIn, existing networks and recommendations.  We often target competitors who our clients cannot approach and have a good success rate using this method.

Our approach when working with companies is not prescriptive and is inclusive throughout the recruitment process.
