    Centrally based asset management house who are continuing to grow their AUM. They offer an excellent working environment with the opportunity to increase BA skills and experience through further development and will benefit from working closely with the head of the team on a daily basis.
  • The Role
    This is an excellent career opportunity to join a small expanding asset manager in central Edinburgh and work closely with the Head of the team. This is a permanent position.

    You will part of a close knit and very experienced team who provide business analysis support to the company in order to assist the business users implement a range of projects covering IT development, business and regulatory change.

    As Business Analyst, you will support the Head of the department with your work load being determined on business priority however you may also be involved in assisting with the analysis of BAU issues as they affect the business too.

    Your main responsibilities will include:

    - Analysis including the investigation, assessment and specification of issues and changes affecting the business
    - Pre-project analysis feeding into cost-benefit analysis
    - Produce pre-project documentation for each project or task providing a clear statement of requirements
    - Testing which will include liaison with IT to agree which test environments are required and how data for these test environments can be populated
    - Documentation and presentation to key stakeholders
    - Systems & Process documentation involving creation of data flow etc.
    - Project reporting and progress tracking
  • The Person
    The Business Analyst should have the following:

    - Hold a related business degree
    - At least 5 years’ experience within a similar type role in financial services
    - Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office – MS Excel and MS Word essential
    - Ideally, Prince 2 or similar qualification
    - The ability to handle, manage and test large amount of data
    - Ideally asset management experience
    - Excellent report writing and communication skills
    - The ability to continually work on a large number of projects - all of which are IT related
