  • The Role
    Working closely with the Audit Manager, the main function of this role is to manage the daily audit work, liaise with scheme administrators and train and supervise Assistants as required.

    Key areas will include:

    - Completion of audit planning documentation
    - Arranging timing of audit work
    - Making sure that the audit fieldwork and completion work meets deadline and is of a high standard
    - Liaising with scheme administrators, actuaries and other advisors.
    - Building strong and lasting relationships with clients and their advisors
    - Monitoring budgeted versus actual time spent, flagging scope issues, on-site issues and overruns to Audit Manager
    - Preparation of draft financial statements or reviewing with scheme administrator
  • The Person
    - Ideally qualified ICAS / ACCA
    - Previous pension scheme audit experience
    - Ability to manage several audit jobs on-going at the same time
    - Ability to manage, train and motivate staff
    - Good relationship building skills
