  • The Role
    This is a newly created role which has come about due to increased AUM, the take on of new clients and planned succession within this successful wealth manager. You will have the opportunity to work with a highly professional team of Investment Managers who are dedicated to the provision of a first class service to their clients

    This firm offers both Discretionary and Advisory services and your main responsibility will the construction and management of client investment portfolios. This will be done in line with relevant attitudes to risk and investment objectives through research, preparation and presentation of regular investment reviews.

    One of the key attributes of this firm is their emphasis on client service and providing the best possible advice to clients and as such this will be a key part of your role.

    This role will also cover:
    - Investment Committee meetings and providing input on suitable buy/hold and sell investments, portfolio and asset allocation strategies / panels for all client portfolios and operational matters
    - Research and record such research on equities, investment trusts and other collective investment funds or other appropriate investments on a regular basis
    - Assist in the creation of risk graded model portfolios within the terms of the firm’s investment policy and strategy
    - Work with agreed asset allocation and risk models and rebalance or adjust client portfolios if necessary
    - Provide written and oral portfolio reviews to clients / trustees as well as provide verbal presentations to clients, introducers and colleagues as required
    - Help develop and maintain Training and Competence procedures relevant to the role and train staff when required
    - Ensure complete compliance with current legislation, FCA regulations and the firm’s procedures
    - Review administrative and research processes regularly to ensure that they are current, appropriate and maintained
    - Act on enquires from introducers both inside and outside the firm
  • The Person
    - Ideally, the Investment Manager will hold professional qualifications appropriate to the role, be qualified to a minimum of Level 4, preferably to Level 6 and have SPS in place continuously and be prepared to undertake further relevant qualifications as required
    - The investment management team work in a structured, planned manner, paying attention to detail therefore similar skills are beneficial
    - Good knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, especially Excel and Word, as well as portfolio management systems
    - A full understanding of the requirements of the Firm and its Regulator is also a requirement
